Ford Motors during the Second World War

Henry Ford's pacifistic mentality once again conducted destiny of its company during the Second World War. To interfere with that nazis have turned factories of Ford Motor Company in Germany in the nationalised factory, Henry Ford developed close labour relations with the nazi government. Ford's efforts were effective, as the company has received 52 %-s' property of factories there. Though the nazi operated daily business of these means, Ford still remained the owner of the majority.

Henry Ford's relations with the German nazi government remained good some time. However, it has changed subsequently after bombardment of Pearl Harbour. This case was encouraged with Ford to support for military aspirations of Allied armies, making engines of the plane. But, it does not mean that Ford's action in Europe, especially in Germany, has stopped. Actually, one third of the trucks used by nazi army, has been made Ford Motor Company. Because of these strategy, Ford was considered as the company which co-operates both with Allied and with nazis and earned many investments from these sources.

Ford's direct communications and business ties have ended, when the USA declared war in December 1941. However, there were some statements that a number of indirect communications between the nazi government in Germany and Ford still took place. But after the research spent by the American Ministry of Finance, statements have been rejected because of shortage of concrete proofs.
